EQUALS is pleased to announce the 22 finalists for the 2018 EQUALS in Tech Awards, the annual flagship event of the EQUALS global partnership. The awards recognize outstanding projects and initiatives around the world that are helping women and girls become #EQUALSinTech.
Our 22 Awards finalists are reimagining the digital future.
This year marks two important milestones for EQUALS: This year is the fifth edition of the awards, and we received our highest number of nominations to date – totaling 357 submissions from around the globe. These include submissions from a wide range of initiatives working to bridge the gender digital divide.
Prizes are awarded for outstanding achievement and innovative strategies in four categories: Access, Skills, Leadership I, Leadership II and Research.
2018 EQUALS in Tech Awards Finalists
Our 22 finalists originate in 16 countries and represent an innovative set of initiatives that have realized significant results in areas of the world where women are most excluded from the benefits of digital technology, and in those where work remains to be done.
