Every year, the EQUALS Global Partnership presents the EQUALS in Tech Awards to initiatives, projects, movements, organizations and institutions around the world working to bridge the gender digital divide.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Awards and the 15 finalists have been selected from the 132 nominated initiatives from 54 countries across the globe.
On 12 December 2023, winners were announced at the EQUALS in Tech Awards ceremony as follows:
Improving women's and girls’ digital technology access, connectivity and security

(Re)building the Ukrainian Business
This initiative of IMPACT CEE aisds the displaced population and fosters economic resilience, particularly in the digital economy realm and by using the digital tools.
Initiatives working to expand digital gender divide knowledge in support of evidence-based decision-making
Preventing and Mitigating Gender Bias
Through a Learning Analytics project the Secretariat of Education of Guanajuato (SEG) created an AI based early alert system aimed at improving school retention and graduation rates.

The EQUALS in Tech Award finalists and winners are chosen by former winners, known as the Advisory Group, and experts from the EQUALS Steering Committee, composed of coalition leads, co-founders, and financial contributors.
