Nominations are now being accepted for the 2021 EQUALS in Tech Awards.

The nomination deadline for the 2021 EQUALS in Tech Awards has been extended! Send us your nominations until 30 September, 2021.

Every year, the EQUALS Global Partnership seeks committed and creative organizations and initiatives working to give women and girls equal access to the internet, digital skills, and career opportunities in the tech sector. The EQUALS in Tech Awards spotlight and reward the value of initiatives that help girls and women and their communities thrive through all the economic and social opportunities that digital access, skills and leadership can offer.

This year, the opening of nominations for the awards has a special additional significance. Our hosting agency and co-founding partner ITU is celebrating 10 years of its flagship gender program Girls in ICT Day. To mark the milestone, ITU and its partners have organized "10 Moments of Girls in ICT", and the EQUALS in Tech Award nominations form part of Moment 6: Inspiration, under the theme of Connected Girls, Building Brighter Futures. Find out more about this outstanding program.

This year and every year, the past winners of the EQUALS in Tech Awards join a truly inspiring and impactful community of changemakers working together to bridge the gender digital divide.

For the 2021 awards, EQUALS is seeking nominations for initiatives both large and small, from around the world, in the following award categories:

  • Access: Initiatives related to improving women and girl’s digital technology access, connectivity and security

  • Skills: Initiatives that support the development of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) skills of women and girls

  • Leadership in Tech: Initiatives focused on promoting women in decision-making roles within the ICT field

  • Leadership in SME: Initiatives promoted by tech sector companies to bridge the digital gender divide

  • Research: Initiatives prioritizing research on gender digital divides and producing reliable evidence to tackle diversity issues within STEM and computing fields

Nominations will be open until 15 September 2021. The EQUALS in Tech Award ceremony, where we will recognize the winning initiatives, will be held in the fourth quarter of the year. Event details will be forthcoming here and on our social media channels, so be sure to follow us!

Extending the nomination deadline is a great decision because it gives more innovators and leaders the opportunity to be recognized for their contributions to the tech industry. Inclusive awards like these encourage diversity, celebrate achievement, and inspire future talent. Just as recognition drives professional growth, personal growth also benefits from consistency and healthy habits. That's why I appreciate resources like 66dayrefresh, which help people build positive routines and stay committed to long-term success.

This was a well-written and thoughtful piece. I appreciated the calm and reflective tone, which made the post feel genuine and relatable. It reminded me that learning doesn’t just happen in the classroom but also through everyday experiences and reflection. For students, understanding ethical practices is crucial, and sometimes we seek Assignment Help with Ethical Guidance to navigate tricky academic tasks while staying honest. Posts like this not only inspire reflection but also encourage responsible learning, showing that personal growth and academic integrity can go hand in hand.
