New York Academy of Sciences and the Global STEM Alliance join EQUALS

As we enter the third quarter of the year, EQUALS is pleased to announce two new partners joining our Skills Coalition.

Known as the "World’s Smartest Network®," the New York Academy of Sciences is among the oldest scientific organizations in the United States, and its members have included luminaries such as Thomas Jefferson, Charles Darwin, Thomas Edison, and Margaret Mead. Now numbering over 20,000 members in more than 100 countries, the Academy brings together communities of experts to tackle some of the world’s toughest problems.

The Global STEM Alliance (GSA), a subsidiary program of the New York Academy of Sciences, brings together more than 250 organizations to support, inspire and prepare the next generation of innovators in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics). As a new EQUALS partner, GSA brings expertise from their worldwide coalition of educational institutions, government entities, industry leaders and not-for-profit organizations, all of whom are actively working to increase the diversity and number of students studying STEM topics and people working in STEM fields.

We are honored to welcome both the Global STEM Alliance and the New York Academy of Sciences to the EQUALS Partnership, and we look forward to working with them, and with all our partners, to continue taking real action toward bridging the gender digital divide.
