The annual United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) is a 2-week event that was established to promote women’s rights, document the reality of women’s lives throughout the world, and shape global standards on gender equality and the empowerment of women.
The 2023 CSW theme is Innovation and technological change, and education in the digital age for achieving gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls. This year's commission will make a special review of challenges and opportunities in achieving gender equality and the empowerment of rural women and girls. With the theme closely aligned with our partnership goals, EQUALS is especially well represented in 2023 CSW activities and events.

Looking forward to seeing our partners at CSW67!

The CSW67 theme of innovation and technological change for gender equality is crucial, especially when considering how creative tools can empower women. An AI music generator could provide new opportunities for women to produce and share their own music without needing traditional studio access.
Finding a unique username is getting harder every year. This name generator helped me come up with several options that weren't already taken on the platforms I use.
The focus on innovation and technological change at CSW67 this year really highlights the need for accessible tools in digital education. For those working with subtitles for educational content, converting formats like SRT to VTT can improve accessibility across different platforms. That's a practical step toward inclusive technology.
A great summary of the CSW67 discussions. Closing the digital gender gap starts with making technology accessible and less intimidating. For many women just starting their digital journey, simple and intuitive platforms are key. I’ve seen community workshops use lighthearted sites like minigame to help women get comfortable with browser navigation and digital interfaces in a stress-free way. Every step toward digital literacy counts!
